The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating new revenue and relationship opportunities for Pacific Plastics Injection Molding (PPIM), a division of Diversified Plastics, Inc. (DPI) – facilitating initial conversations with prospective customers, expanding into new divisions, products, and programs within new customers, assisting customer advocates and sales engineers with securing program renewals and providing all critical information for internal DPI team to successfully meet customer expectations.

This role is responsible for creating interest, trial and adoption for DPI capabilities from leading medical device and other precision manufacturers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new business leads, develop new opportunities, and secure new and repeat business.
  • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with DPI sales engineers to qualify opportunities and estimate new programs.
  • Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall business development process to strengthen new business and account growth performance.
  • Conduct business development best practices with email, phone, video, social media, and marketing automation to connect with new prospects.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans.
  • Ensure all prospect, customer, and opportunity information is maintained in the CRM
  • Work internally with other departments to ensure proper quality and quantity of new program estimates and proposals.
  • Provide all critical customer information necessary for DPI to successfully execute and deliver to customer expectations.
  • Work closely with all DPI divisions.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA
    required
  • Excellent written and oral communication,
    organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Very strong work ethic with discipline and
    confidence to work autonomously
  • Highly motivated to succeed both individually
    and with a growing company
  • Prior sales experience with precision
    manufacturing or other technical products
  • Experience with injection molding is a plus
  • Experience with material pricing and quoting
    is a plus
